William Bouguereau study - Update

This was one of the first studies ive made and I couldnt believe some of the colors I chose first time around, I was amazed at my progress, first time in a long while that ive developed so much in painting

Andrew Loomis studies

Last page were semi blind drawings, its more useful to do these studies without relying on looking at the pictures too much, trying to get into the head of the artist is better, I find loomis pretty easy though I think its close to my sytle, Still learn A LOT from him though, but just for a challenge Il probably have to look somewhere else ... man I sound big headed.

Orange Color Study

Trying to understand how to mix watercolors, Im glad I looked into it because I found out something I was doing was making some of my colors look washed out, basically I didnt know what colors (pigments) I was really using, I knew there was two red but I didnt know one was vermillion and one was crimson.

Il post a picture of my workstation actually, it helped me alot for getting the best results I could out of the painting(practice might help too though).

The ultimate resource for watercolor is here http://www.handprint.com/HP/WCL/water.html
